The kiss with Chuck on the beach leaves Sarah with her memory loss, she has no recollection of the last five years of her life. Still unable to remember Chuck beyond the last two weeks, she isn’t in love with him because he is practically a stranger to her. Sarah rejoins the CIA but something inside her wont let her leave Chuck unprotected, he is the intersect after all. Without his knowledge Sarah watches over Chuck, until she can’t.

Sarah and Chuck are having a hard time getting along, Sarah resents not being able to remember her life and is taking it out on Chuck.
